Ascent Trip ReportWe found our way to the Fulton/Lucas Co Line east of Metamora, where we drove north on the Fulton-Lucas Road to the MI/OH State Line ..... a steel plate Marker embedded in the middle of the road, and a new granite State Monument #46 on the west side. An Ohio Power Line parallels the State line 25 yards south.
AREA 1 ..... .5 miles RT.
I walked the Power Line east 350 yards in open field (75 yards before the second Transmission Tower) then right (south) 40 yards to my chosen spot, 41.71977,-83.87544.
AREA 2 ..... .2 miles.
From the State Line we drove south .8 miles on the Co Line and parked at high ground. I walked the flat table to the east of the road, perhaps someone with a better eye can pick a spot.
We continued south to 1.8 miles south of the State Line and parked. Same comments here as in Area 2, the berms around house #4434 are man made.
From Area 3 we drove south to a left on Sylvania Road and drove east .37 miles and parked. The south side of the road has a row of houses with landscaped yards, so natural ground is difficult to find. The north side is a flat table.
