Ascent Trip Report

Started in the parking lot on Mountain Rd off Rt 47 in South Hadley. Walked the auto road which was closed (climb took place in early March) and then took the steep part of the Halfway Trail to the summit. Most of the Halfway Trail was covered in ice and required some thought as to where to walk to avoid slipping and falling off the mountain. Despite a partly cloudy day, I could easily make out Springfield and Hartford to the south. Great view from the north side as well.
