Ascent Trip Report

Bob Schwab's TR of 2001 still applies today, nothing seems to have changed.
We approached from the Ohio Side, from Fort Recovery we drove north on #49 for about 10 miles to a left on Hwy #29, 1 mile west to the State Line Road (Bob arrived at this corner from the west on Indiana #67). From here-on all is as per Bob's Report and there is not much to add except for the following.

AREA 1
There were 5 vehicles parked at the farm house (2 silos) #5623 , we got there around 13h00 hours so we just missed the Bob's church bells. The lady out-front had no problem with me walking the perimeter of the house.

AREA 2
The young gentleman in the grey pick-up truck was very friendly at large farm complex "Mary We Acres" #5302, his father owns the land ....
"You came at a good time, planting season is just around the corner."
We drove 100+ yards past the house to a grass driveway on the left. parked here just past a small fenced-in area.
I walked the grass track 250 yards south, then west across the plowed field 40 yards to the high ground, my spot GPS 40.58400,-84.83725.

When I got out we sat there for a short lunch break, during which time 4 different Amish buggies went by.

"DON'T JUDGE ANY MAN UNTIL YOU HAVE WALKED TWO MOONS IN HIS MOCCASINS."
