Ascent Trip Report

There is a house up on top, which has been rented for several years by Robin and Art. Fortunately Robin was doing her daily descent to the gated entrance on the property when I drove up and after talking to her at length, she agreed to my request to be allowed to hike up to the house with her on what is referred to here as Mount Melville South, which she says is at 2,250' elevation. Steep hike on the road but with great views on the top where she gave me a tour. She said she has allowed many hikers up to visit over the years and I was lucky that she just happened to be there when I drove up!
