Ascent Trip Report

I managed to somehow get royally screwed up on this one. I drove the entire Blueberry lane road twice and didn't see anything. I ended up driving up road 613 which is a couple miles up Blueberry lane and taking it to the gate which is 3 miles beyond the sign that reads 'Not suitable for Passenger Travel'. The road isn't that bad; my Sub had no problems. Once I hit the gate I walked up to the AT and checked out the map which indicated I was still 4 miles from the summit. It also showed me where the trailhead to Rogers Mountain was. After putzing around a little and watching the wild ponies graze I went back to the car, drove down the road, and finally found the trailhead. Unfortunately it read 6.5 miles to the top, not 2.5 like I had expected (not sure where I got the 2.5 but assuming I read it somewhere). Anyhow it was later in the day and I had to drive back up to Pittsburgh for an early Monday morning meeting. At least next time I'll know where to drive to.
