Ascent Trip Report

I found the previous trip report by Don Desrosiers useful and accurate. The only change I noticed is the sign for what used to be the Ford Hollow Road now reads Keeney Mountain Road. Although the higher parts of the road are rocky and bumpy, it's in pretty good shape all the way--shouldn't be a problem for a careful passenger car driver unless it's been very wet. Essentially a drive up; the road ends only a few feet from the highest spot.

The top is nearly flat and wooded, interfering with views, but I could enjoy great valley views on the way up since the trees are still leafless. The old fire tower still stands although the wooden steps looked like they may be rotting away.
