Start: from Col de Porte to W, 10km N of Grenoble
Route: obvious well trodden route, mostly signposted / paintmarked. Unmapped shortcut via ski piste used in descent. Descent by path initially following clifftop S is also popular.
Difficulties: ~8m scramble to summit block, with fixed rope for protection / assistance. To that point, just a walk, YDS 1.
Trig point: mapped, not found.
Notes: impressive rocky mountain, impressive drops on 3 sides. Distinctive profile clearly visible from Annecy peaks. Wooden stump at summit may be remains of cross. Many other walkers seen.
