Ascent Trip Report

Parking on the road which crosses high on the southern slopes of the hill, I chose a likely looking forestry track, and quickly found the top of the hill through snow which was surprisingly much deeper than at the same altitude on 3 adjacent hills I visited that day, presumably due the different aspect on which I was climbing (west). The tracks on the ground were quite new and bore little relation to those on the map but were quite interlinked and therefore not difficult to get to the top. A second more eastern top has an almost equal height so I visited that as well. In both cases the highest ground is a little off the track and difficult to exactly place. Some felled trees offered a reasonable view south from near the summit to the long ridge of the Montagne d'Ormont.
