Ascent Trip Report

From the Mt. Davis Road (headed south) I turned right onto an unsigned uphill blacktop (labeled High Point Rd. on my Garmin map) and watched my GPS for distance to the peak. I found a wide place in the road to park opposite a gravel track and a hair under 1/4 mi. from the peak according to GPS heading. The gravel track heads steeply uphill at a heading slightly away from the peak for a few hundred yards to some heavy construction equipment and cut logs. I followed a GPS heading from there, sometimes along remnants of old forest tracks, mostly a bush whack. Like nearby Glade Mt. much of the hill side is covered with thorn bushes and would probably be more difficult in warm weather. At the top two intimidatingly large boulders loomed. I climbed the easier of the two which also appeared to be a few inches higher, although I'n not certain of that. The other one looked a bit dangerous for a geezer.
