Ascent Trip ReportA 4WD drive-up. Approaching from the east via Pipkin Cinder Cone Rd is 4WD. The approach from the west via Camp Rock Rd can be done by passenger car on the good to excellent dirt road. The last 2.2 miles up to the peak from Camp Rock road is 4WD. I had my Jeep, so we drove to the first radio tower and parked. It was only about 0.2 mile from here to the high point, following the road amid some other radio facilities, then a brief scramble up rock. Great views if you can ignore the radio towers.
