Ascent Trip Report

Very scenic hike on a maintained trail that goes from forest to meadows originating at the Taos Ski Valley ski resort. Plenty of free parking during summer, and made it up and down without seeing a drop of rain in spite of the 80 - 90% chance of rain forecast the night before. Did see lots of dark clouds and heard lots of thunder. Some people on the summit even had their dogs with them. This was another hike with the broken tailbone and bruised sacrum killing me on the drive in. I didn't feel the elevation as I knew I was adapted to over 13,300' from my hike on Mt Elbert a few days before.
