Ascent Trip Report24 deg f
Snow pellets ending, visibility improving, gust to 35 mph. Greetings from New Jersey! Well if it were not for geocaching I would probably be in a museum or a castle right now and not climbing to the highest point in South Wales. The views were absolutely stunning and I very much was thrilled with taking the challenge and completing it. The fact that 12 year old dogs and 80 year old women stroll up her says a lot about the constitution of the locals. The average couch potato in the states would turn around at the waterfall. On my return I followed a different path with the hopes of following the same path back down. But the trail i ended up took me near a Plane crash. I recalled the visibility was about 15 feet when I was near one of the peaks but I was surprised that I would have missed it. Looking down at the gap I see I had departed from my breadcrumbs. You could get lost up here in the wind and low visibility. But the views were gorgeous today and we made it back to the hotel in Cardiff safely. Off to work tomorrow. This is one of my favorite summits. How could it not be?
