Ascent Trip Report

aka Mount Huntington South Peak.

Mature moderate woods on upper mountain with doable snow conditions for most moderately strong solo adventurers... that is until the woods quickly transitioned over to nothing but thick baby spruce as far as the eye could see with non-stop adult sized traps. Swimming upstream in unconsolidated waist deep quicksand all off trail eventually brought progress to a halt 400 vertical feet from summit.
