Ascent Trip ReportA short fallowfield walk ..... 600 yards, 15 minutes RT.
After successfully visiting Washington CoHP we found our way to the intersection on Hwy#290/237, just east of the town of Carmine, where we drove south on 237 for 7.5 miles to the community of Round Top and a left turn on FM1457, 5.78 miles east to a left on Neumann Road, .68 miles we parked the van just before a bend to the left. The HP is in the open fallowfield to the southwest, no fence here.
I walked the fallowfield southwest 250 yards to a fairly-flat high ground, about 100 yards square. Impossible for me to pick "The" HP, I stomped the area and chose a spot at the center of this area at GPS 30.04315, -96.61805.
This whole area is beautiful open green country.
"OH, GIVE ME LAND, LOTS OF LAND,
UNDER SUNNY SKIES ABOVE,
DON'T FENCE ME IN."
