Ascent Trip Report

From the village of White, Pa. we took SR1009 south for slightly over a half mile then left on Wash Run Rd. I was actually looking for a different peak, but apparently had the wrong coordinates in my GPS. When I consulted a map, I noticed Star HIll, glanced up, saw it was right above my parking spot, and decided why not?

We headed across a field for several hundred yards on a slight downhill, crossed a stream and found a track along the fenceline that we followed up, alternating with some bushwhack, and a couple of fences to hop. We encountered signage reading "No Hunting without Permission" but it was not posted against trespassing. A pleasant little hill with nice views of surrounding country.
