Ascent Trip ReportWhat a hike! We used the Branch Whitney route to climb Magic Mountain and then traversed over to Crabby Appleton. The Class3/Class3+ were certainly challenging but it is great rock so it's fun. We certainly challenged ourselves with some of these scrambles, but it was very exhilirating. As a note, it would probably have helped to have a rope, and there is some fairly major exposure. Only go if you are comfortable w big exposure and Class 3. Have fun!
