Ascent Trip ReportAREA 1 ...... drive up if lucky.
From the intersection of Hwy 281/46 north of San Antonio we drove west on 46 for 1.37 miles to a right turn on Farhills Drive, .5 miles left on Angels Hill Road, .3 miles left on White Brook Trail which dead-ends at .12 miles.
On the right is a Gated Driveway that climbs 100 yards steeply to the summit, capped with 5 Communication Tower with buildings. This summit is fortified with a tall fence with no way to crawl through. I lucked out as the gate was open. I drove to the summit to find a pickup truck with 2 workers working in one building, I walked around with no questions asked.
AREA 2 .... drive up to a private house.
We returned to 46 and continues west 2.24 miles to a left turn on Brand Road, .37 miles right Shepherds Ranch, .87 miles right on Taylor Point, .5 miles right on Kuntz Run followed by an immediate right on a private cement driveway the climbs/winds steeply to the summit house.
Pam with her small white dog were very friendly, allowed me to walk around the spectacular stone clad ranch style house. Her husband built the house 12 years ago, the 360 degree panorama is outstanding .... best location for a house I've seen so far in this part of Texas.
