Ascent Trip Report

We hiked the tracks to the station while the building at the top was still on fire. One of the workers at the building was passing out soda and food that he had rescued from the kitchen and we helped him picked through the charred remains of the cash drawer pulling out still hot coins amongst ashes of euro bills.

Came back on another try at Mont Blanc years later and minimal work had been started to rebuild the structure. I hope to one day go back when it's finished and have a meal there.
