Ascent Trip ReportFrom Interstate 5 take the Frazier Park exit and head west past Frazier Park on Cuddy Valley Road. At about 11.4 miles from the Interstate turn right on forest road 9N22 which goes to West Tecuya Mountain. On this road note the following junctions: at 1.0 miles go left, at 1.4 miles go left, at 1.9 miles go left onto route 9N19A. At 4.5 miles park at a turn around at the end of the road. UTM here is: 307863E, 3859530N. From here hike north down an old jeep road to a saddle at about 5960 feet. Follow the washed out road up a series of switchbacks to a broad saddle that is west of the summit. Follow a ducked use trail east up to the summit. The round-trip distance is about 3.6 miles with a gain of 900 feet from the saddle. The return hike will have a gain of about 700 feet. The hike takes about one hour each way. There is an unmarked Forest Service benchmark on the summit. 5/01 RLC
