Ascent Trip ReportThe drive into the trailhead starts at a point 0.2 miles north of milepost 57 on Indian route 34 northeast of the town of Vaya Chin. Drive in on a fair dirt road about 1.6 miles and park. Good camping in this area which is very close to the peak. Hike south to the obvious saddle just west of the highest part of the mountain. From here there is a short class 3 scramble up to a ledge and then several more easier climbs up to a plateau. On the plateau go left to a cove where one can climb up some ledges to the highest plateau. Then go left again to the north side of the small block of rock that is the summit. On the north to northeast side it is an easier scramble to the top. This route takes about one hour up and the same time to return. 2/01 RLC
