|Date:||Saturday, October 21, 2000|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
|Peak:||Corral Hollow Hill|
| Elevation:||8170 ft / 2490 m|
Ascent Trip ReportThere is an OHV route up tp very close to the summit, however it is a bit rough and I suggest hiking the road from highway 4. About 0.6 miles west of the turn for the Bear Valley Resort park on the north side of the road at the start of the Corral Ridge OHV route. There is very limited parking here for one or two vehicles. Hike northwest then north up the road to a broad saddle at about 7960 feet. Go west from here and after about 1/2 mile leave the road and head north to a bare promintory at 8170 feet shown on the map. There is an area in the forest to the south that may be the same height, but this is where the register is for the county highpoint. The hike up will take about 1 1/2 hours to the top with a gain of 1100 feet. Allow about 1 hour to go down. The distance is 6 miles round-trip. 10/00 RLC
