Attempted to climb Cascade? What?
A Nor'easter had come through a few days before, and dumped a few inches of snow on the ground. By the time we got close to the summit, the few inches turned into several inches, and by the time we were on the summit, we were in a white out. We gave up on that last open face, mainly because it wasn't worth risking our lives (there are steep drops on all sides) over a peak.
The peak was as crowded as ever, though, including what appeared to be a large party or a few large parties from Canada. One of the guys was hiking in a button-down shirt and a tie.
