Ascent Trip Report

An easy bushwack sb on sand pathways .... 150 yards, 20 minutes RT.

From Knoll Cedars we continued east on Hwy 12 and parked the van at MM80.6, power line pole on the right. I walked southbound up a sand embankment, then down and finding my way around vegetation on sand pathways, to obvious high ground at about 60 yards, easy. I chose my spot at GPS 35.13873, -75.89691, it is open with some low bushes. PB puts the spot at a much lower elevation.

We continued to Areas 5 and 6 of Ocracoke HP for the last hikes of this day on Ocracoke Island after which we drove north to Kitty Hawk.
