Ascent Trip ReportA walk on sand dunes ..... .7 miles, 35 minutes RT.
The main entrance for Jockey's Ridge State Park is on the west side of US158, MP12. We drove in to the Visitors Center for a trail map. From the 100 yard long board-walk behind the Center I walked a 210 degree compass line about 500 Yards on the sand dunes to the obvious HP dune, I chose my spot at GPS 35.95864,-75.63367, the PB coordinates puts it in a much lower area.
