Ascent Trip Report

25 mile and 14 hour day with M & M, Heather, and Jeff. Great day for this long Hale, Zealand, Bonds traverse. Cloudy with a little snow falling here and there, but not too much wind on Bonds and relatively warm temps. Enough snow on the ground to fill in rocks and roots, but not enough to need snowshoes. Used microspikes most of day, and crampons over Mt. Bond and Bondcliffs. Started at 5am - made it most of the way down Bondcliff trail before taking out headlamps. Finished a little after 7pm. Longest winter day hike yet - and finished feeling pretty good! Group was great - moved fast!
