Ascent Trip Report

This is an easy COHP within a few miles of the Stephens and Banks COHPs and not far off I-85.

After driving up Currahee Mountain (the Stephens COHP), I headed S on GA184 to the Banks/Franklin County line, just beyond the intersection with GA105. There's room to park on the shoulder (or you could park back up the road at Tates Creek Church). From the county line sign, head S/SE (bearing about 160 degrees--follow the topo!) no more than 100 yards into the woods, where the county line crosses the NE side of the 980 contour. The top of the hill is in Banks County, so it takes a little gridding to be confident you've covered the Franklin COHP.
