Ascent Trip Report

Twelve degrees F at the PA and the lot was filling up fast! Made a loop up to Blackhead Mountain going up Batavia Kill and Escarpment trails and coming down the red Black Dome Range trail. Lower slopes were fine with bare boots but on the upper reaches of Blackhead I threw on the stabilicers which were a big help. Views were great, people were friendly - met a couple of dudes doing the big loop from Barnum Rd. tackling Thomas Cole, Black Dome, Blackhead, Acra Point, Burnt Knob and Windham ending up at Peck Rd maybe - hope they made it
