Ascent Trip Report

Early on a Saturday morning from exit 32 on I-44 I headed one mi.south on co. rd. 1010; 1 mi. west on an unmarked county road and about 0.6 mi. south on Lawrence Ave. At that point I was in front of a house and my gps coordinates put the high pont candidates about 0.1 mi. behind and slightly north of the house in an unfenced field. A woman and several kids at the house waived at me as I wandered into a field although a dog pursued me, nipping at my heels until I stopped to talk softly to him. I concur with a previous report that it's hard to see three separate high point candidates. The highest ground I found was about 250 feet north and slightly west of the house.
