Ascent Trip ReportSolo trip to redline more on the Moose. Freaked myself out a little as found VERY fresh bear scat on Asquam Ridge trail. Trails were gross and extreme silt almost swallowed one of my boots when I thought I was stepping onto solid ground. Northern extreme of Asquam ridge was covered in snow. Most of Beaver Brook was clear but wet, with the exception of a massive ice flow standing all on its own, slowly melting. Summit was dry and busy. Nice day to solo hike, met several other solo hikers. Gorge Brook is very rocky, with many access points to water. Nice loop.
