Ascent Trip Report

w Monica and the randomites. The morning started out a bit chilly and since coming up the west side didn't get to enjoy the sun on this spectacular blue sky day until we hit the ridge. Lights winds cooled things but didn't make it too cold. Got to enjoy long breaks on the ledge below the summit of North and on the exposed South summit. Trails were muddy down low and iced-over up high. Only needed microspikes along the ridge trail. Glad that we saved up enough energy and supplies to make the expedition-like ascent of Bald Knob on our way back down to the trailhead. It was great to see the usual suspects and meet the first-time offenders. (Monica Trust, Karine, Julia, Luke, Leslie, Spruce, Valerie, Jason, and Sandi)
