Ascent Trip Report5 of 50. This was an easy 35 minute hike. I didn't arrive until it was dark but from what I could tell the trail was probably pretty with a few views along the way. Made it to the high point sign and sat beneath the stars for a bit. I don't believe you can camp in the area (could be wrong) but the stars would be amazing to sleep beneath up there. Side note - you can access the trailhead from either Connecticut or Massachusetts as Washington Rd connects the two states but there is a giant blockade placed over the road right at the state line. The trailhead starts on the Connecticut side and is pretty easily located by a gate with a sign that reads Bear Mt.
