Ascent Trip ReportThe Red Trail at the end of Mountain Drive ("next to old chairlift tower") slabs up from the last telephone pole and is mostly an opening thru the woods after a bit of an overgrown beginning. With more axe than red blazes on the upside going of the trail, it reaches the well maintained Blue Trail in less than 200 yards. Once at mountain's top, the Strafford Cty HP can easily be reached going south-west from the Blue Trail, keeping in col just below the Copple Crown summit to ridge's height of land while descending the SW Slope. A fir tree within 20 yards of GZ is doubled in orange surveyor's tape and a faded red blaze, SW summit maybe?
