Ascent Trip ReportGlenn was keen to ski the north face of Mount Shuksan, and I signed on, figuring I could ski whatever he could. So we drove up the Mount Baker Highway, parked at Razor Hone Creek, and skinned up a very short distance to a highway maintenance shed up a snow-covered spur road.
The mountain was in and out of clouds, and the north face looked awfully steep. I thought we might have better luck on the White Salmon Glacier, but in the end we just bailed entirely. It just didn't seem right, and the weather was the main reason. But I also wondered if I could actually ski the route, too.
