Ascent Trip ReportTo start with, the road in is long, but in pretty decent condition, at least for high-clearance vehicles, until 6930' where there are pretty substantial holes. A good 4x4 with an experienced driver could probably make it, but the rest should park below it. Be careful beyond that 6920' because the road gets narrow as it deteriorates making it difficult to turn around.
The hike requires good orienteering as the route is often in fairly thick trees and one must pass over or around numerous intervening peaks. There are also sections of loose rock one must cross. That said, the views from the summit are amazing.
