Ascent Trip ReportA public access of old trails to summit is available near the intersection of Adirondack Avenue and Warren Street in Warrensburg. Geocache (GCGK6T) Burg's Eye View has info and a photo of the access which runs between woods and yard of a private home. An old yellow paint blazed trail off a woods road headed up steeply into sloping ledge and open woods for handholds when I managed to lose trail going steeply up. I reached summit in time to watch the sun setting beyond a mountainous horizon with town all laid out below, found cache. I tried following an orange tape blazed trail which headed away from the steepest, tho still steep in twilight, finally lost trail heading down headlight on but continued bushwacked going down to the earlier road quickly reaching trailhead. I like my GPS!!!
