Ascent Trip Report***Private Hike***
Hiked to this sucker one day while on our Sedona vacation. Nice trail up to north-trending ridgeline. Once on ridgeline the well defined use trail was covered by an inch or two of snow and sustained winds blew at about 20 mph with gusts to about 30 mph (estimated wind speeds). Phenomenal views along this ridgeline. Cold as it gets on summit; my Kestrel pocket weather meter measured wind chill at 18 F. Got off summit and back to the Cherokee just before sunset. Moving slow all day; the RT took us about 10 hours.
