Ascent Trip Report

More logging land. Gates were open because it was hunting season. Good roads for any car. We proceeded up with no real problems. Follow the Trask Toll Road and the main road. Once we got to the highpoint of the road we parked. Here we made a little boo boo as we saw the map showed the road just going to the summit. But instead the road continues on S towards the next saddle and does not go to the summit. The summit road is long since abandoned and overgrown. After walking downhill for a bit we realized the error of our ways and walked back up to the road highpoint. We found a brush free bootpath that wound its way the small distance to a clearing on the summit where the old lookout foundation is all that marks the area. Not so exciting but it counts.
