Ascent Trip Report

It was a beautiful day but I didn't have time to drive to high points out of the city, so I decided to search for the highpoint on some prominent hills in Calvary Cemetery about a mile from my home. The Calvary Cemetery sits on a series of bluffs overlooking the Monogahela River in the Greenfield section of Pittsburgh. You can access it from Hazlewood Avenue. The high point is just south of a prominent monument. I continued from there to some radio towers slightly west and behind the towers to a trail through a surprisingly wild area right in the heart of the city.
