Ascent Trip ReportUnder a threat of a Winter Storm Warning, we hiked both Mt. Hancock and South Hancock. There was snow on the ground during the entire hike with more snow at higher elevations. It was very cold, low thirties at the trailhead, mid-twenties at the summit. I utilized my new microspikes for the descent from South Hancock. The snow storm began as we were leaving and the roads heading south were very dangerous with little to no visibility. It took approximately five hours to drive to Boston.
