Ascent Trip ReportPaid $20 for RT ticket on ski lift to get to the 7,800ft. point. Climbed up the customary Devil's Backbone route. Steep on several sides as many have noted. Was surprised by the amount of wind sweeping around the area. Much of trail at the start runs on the southern edge of a ridge. But once out of the treeline, wind picked up significantly, especially at the saddle before the final exposed summit climb. It became a little better on the side of the mountain and on top. Most people I'd even seen on a summit. At least 30. Most were huddled in several rock wind selters built.
