Ascent of Rock Creek Wilderness High Point on 2011-10-17| Date: | Monday, October 17, 2011 | | Ascent Type: | Successful Summit Attained | | Peak: | Rock Creek Wilderness High Point | | Location: | USA-Oregon | | Elevation: | 2235 ft / 681 m |
Ascent Trip ReportI accessed Rock Creek Wilderness from FR 58 and nearby Saddle Mtn. I parked along the forest road and found a game trail up the steep road cut bank to the north ridge. I found an old trail along the top of the ridge that was grown over with thigh high brush. It wasn't bad brush under a forest canopy, but I had to search for the trail at times. There are some ups and downs along the ridge and there is no view because of the forest. It is pretty under the forest canopy.
