Ascent Trip Report

Hike 3/51 completed! Peak number 36. We drove down Washington St which turns into East St to get to the red trail head. I am glad we had GPS because the trail entrance was not well marked, and the actual summit was not either. It was a beautiful fall day and the trail took us over Round Mountain which had 360 views. We all, including the dogs, loved the multiple parts of the trail where we had to scramble up steep rock. Once you reach the summit you can continue down the path to reach the Tri-State area where there is a stone parking the place. We were a little disappointed CT wasn't carved into the rock... We are adding this to our top favorite hikes and plan on returning.
