Ascent of Mount Bierstadt on 2011-10-12
|Date:||Wednesday, October 12, 2011|
|Ascent Type:||Unsuccessful - Turned Back|
| Motorized Transport to Trailhead:||Car|
| Elevation:||12640 ft / 3852 m|
Ascent Trip ReportHeaded up, despite winds gusting over 50MPH in Georgetown. As I climbed higher, the wind grew more and more fierce, and I did not want to risk being blown off the summit ridge by hurricane force gusts. I turned back with 1500' or so left to go, living to climb another day.
