Ascent Trip ReportThere finally was nice weather during a hike for me! It was very crowded, though.
Took the trail to the right of the trailhead kiosk. It was easy, for the most part, but I was looking for a hike that's doable in a few hours (including the drive to and from the hike). The trail crosses an old road early on and then goes through woods at an easy to moderate grade to a good before-summit viewpoint. After getting some video, my dad and I continued to the summit.
The summit of Blue Job Mountain contains a shack, a communications tower, a fire tower, and an old outhouse. We climbed to the top deck of the fire tower, where wasps waited for us. I got a lot of video and pictures, took in the view, and we went to the ground to take a water and snack break. We then went back to the parking lot.
