Ascent Trip ReportAfter several weeks of delays due to the damage from Irene and the subsequent unpleasant weather through September, I finally summited my final Catskill 3500 peak accompanied by my Uncle Bill. Despite the bleak forecast calling for 1-3" of rain, the weather held to a light drizzle at its worst. Hiked the Long Path from Platte Clove up to the snowmobile trail and followed the unmarked Twilight Park Trail to the summit. There were still a few major blow downs from Irene blocking the path, but nothing that wasn't easily circumvented. The unmarked "Twilight Park" trail to the summit is also in good shape. 9 years and six weeks to complete the list, a wonderful adventure and a proud accomplishment. Catskill 3500 #1950.
