Ascent Trip ReportSigned in around 7 or 7:30, walk to and from Colvin was ho-hum, the climb up Colvin was challenging in spots due to some scrambles. There was one particular scramble that I was surprised to see on a marked trail, had to do some stretching to reach some rock crevices to pull up, and the left side was essentially a drop straight down if you mess up. Didn't expect that. Was fun, rained the entire time and was windy, about 38F, so was getting cold. Summit of colvin was nice, had an old school benchmark. No views today. The col between Colvin and Blake looked steep and seemed like it was going to be a hassle coming back up Colvin, but it actually wasn't that bad. The ladders were nice. As i was heading back from Blake i saw two individual couples hiking up, a small group, and a large 8x crew all heading toward blake, then as I was descending colvin, i saw a younger solo hiker making his way up just past the junction with elk pass. Once i hit the ausable parking lot, around 3pm, it started pouring much worse than the rain I experienced, so I lucked out!
