Ascent Trip Report

Attempted this in August in trainers (spur of the moment decision) but was nearly blown off the mountain by the wind sweeping round the flanks of the Mt from the E. Returned on 1st Oct with full gear - poles proves v helpful in high winds. Parked by refuge (always locked, seemingly), walked 0.5km along approach track then straight up SSW slope. Wind v strong tho it did ease towards the summit. Was in clouds from 1300m onwards, so view v limited and was soaked in 30mins, tho enjoyable nonetheless!
