Ascent Trip ReportAmazing day! Started at 3am, climbed strong and fast and got up to Trail Camp by 6am - filtering our water, just as the sun was starting to appear. Started up the 99 switchbacks as the range of light appeared - unreal colors! Acclimitazing paid off as we climbed strong all through this section. Made it to Trail Crest in good time and approached the final 2.2 miles behind the main ridge on the west side. Above 13,500 feet we slowed a lot - just couldn't get enough air - but felt good otherwise and made the summit about 9am. Incredible views up top! The sierra nevada is stunning. Incredible to see peaks on one side and the flat Owens valley on the other... Then had the long hike out...
