Ascent Trip Report

Highest day yet in the vacation - Mt. Dana, above 13,000 in the far eastern edge of the park near Tioga Pass. Nice climb up - so much above treeline, the trail gets lost in the final rocky 1,000 feet. Felt great up there and spent a full hour to help acclimate. Could see into the desert valley beyond the mountains and all through the high sierra throughout the park and far beyond. Great day!
