Ascent Trip ReportDid Cascade in an afternoon. I had to get bike parts in Champlain, NY and decided to hit two birds with one stone. Beautiful summer weather for late september. It was my first hike alone. Left my car at 4 PM and was back before dawn. Nice bald summit. Not enough time for Porter. Cascade is supposed to be the easiest 4000 footer.
